JupiterGoals ("we", "our", or "us") is a private web service provided to users for the purpose of goal tracking and verification.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

1. Information We Collect

• Account & Contact Data: Sign-in is handled by Google through Firebase Authentication, which receives your name, email address and profile picture from Google and holds them for us. Our application database does not store your full name or email address: email reminders are addressed through your sign-in. We store the first name you want us to call you, pre-filled from Google at sign-up and changeable at any time, and use it to greet you, in emails to you and to partners you invite, and where you choose to show it to others. We store accountability partner email addresses you choose to add for progress notifications.
• Goal Data: The specific ambitions, habits, milestones, and deadlines you input.
• What You Write: Your answers, messages to the coach, and reflections such as fear-setting exercises. These may include information about your physical or mental health, which is always optional to share.
• Verification Evidence: Data you voluntarily provide to prove goal completion (e.g., photos, screenshots, or authorized API connections to services like Strava or GitHub).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to:

• Provide the core goal tracking and accountability functionality, including sending updates to you and, once partners are available, to an accountability partner you choose.
• Verify your goals: Our system analyzes your evidence to confirm if a goal was met.
• Write your plan: To draft and adjust your plan and answer the coach, what you write about your goals is sent to our AI model provider, currently Google's Gemini API, which processes it on our behalf.
• Point you to support: Goals and coach messages are checked automatically so that, if they suggest you may be at risk, we show you support services instead of a plan. A fear-setting exercise saved on a plan is not checked unless you send it to the coach.
• Hold any pledges you stake on a plan and settle them when the plan settles.
• Send product updates and onboarding details, and marketing emails if you subscribe to product updates (unsubscribe anytime by replying).

3. Data Security & AI Privacy

We implement privacy-first architectural boundaries to protect your information. We strictly isolate contact details (such as account and accountability partner emails) from AI reasoning prompts, and we never use your personal information to train foundation models. Your data is never sold to third-party advertisers or data brokers. Payments are handled directly through Stripe, ensuring we never touch or store your payment card details.
